What can Transcriptik do inside my assistant?
Transcribe supported video links, process a batch within your plan limit, retrieve saved transcripts, and report your available quota. File uploads, voice recording, and the website’s AI editing tools are not exposed by this MCP integration.
Does MCP have a separate quota?
No. Transcriptik uses the same account and credits on the website, in ChatGPT, and in Claude. Each successful new transcription uses one credit on a metered plan, even within a batch. Work in progress reserves credits. Studio retains its unlimited transcription quota, with its duration and batch limits.
How many URLs can I send at once?
The limit depends on your active Transcriptik plan. Sign in above to see your current limit and available credits. If a batch exceeds either limit, no new transcription is launched for that submission. Select a smaller batch and try again.
Do I need a separate API key?
No. Sign in with your Transcriptik account and approve the connection. Your Transcriptik subscription and your assistant account are separate.
What happens if I run out of credits?
New transcriptions are blocked until credits are available again or your plan changes. Checking quota and reading your existing saved transcripts do not consume another transcription credit.
What can an authorized assistant access?
Depending on the permissions you approve, it can read account usage and saved transcripts, check jobs, and submit new links using your quota. Your password is not shared with the assistant. Text sent to an assistant is handled under that platform’s policies.
How do I disconnect?
Sign in to the account section on this page, find the authorization, choose Revoke access, and confirm. This blocks future requests from that authorization. It does not cancel jobs already accepted, delete text already shared, or remove the connector from your assistant settings.
Why is a transcript still processing?
Processing time depends on the media, the transcription service, and tool calls from the assistant. Longer videos and larger batches may take more than one status check. Ask the assistant to check the existing job rather than submitting the same link as a new transcription.
The server URL shows an error in my browser. Is that normal?
The MCP server address is for authenticated assistant requests, not a public web page. Opening it without a connection can show an authorization error. Copy it into the assistant’s custom connector setup instead.
